Leadership Association

Youth Leaders Impacting Canada

The Canadian Student Leadership Association is a federally registered charity in Canada. Founded in 1985 to originally support the continuation of our main event, the Canadian Student Leadership Conference (CSLC), CSLA has since grown, and now distributes leadership resources, materials, scholarships, and organizes programs and events for its member schools across the country.

What we do

CSLA provides leadership opportunities, training and resources to student leaders and educators across Canada. Through these activities, we empower students to make change in their communities.

CSLC

Our flagship event, the Canadian Student Leadership Conference (CSLC) is an annual national student leadership conference held in different locations across Canada each year.

Horizons

Horizons Leadership Conferences are regional, one-day leadership conferences that bring Canadian Speakers to Canadian Students and empower students to make change in their communities.

Change Café

Change Café was introduced in 2020 as a supplementary program to Horizons Leadership Conferences to connect student leaders to community leaders in a half-day networking session.

Resource Library

Our membership and staff use over 35+ years of student leadership experience, education and research to curate and share resources within our network.

Student Certification

Launched in June of 2020, the Student Leadership Certification Program is a 4-level online program for student leaders covering a variety of topics.

Advisor Certification

The Leadership Advisor Development Certification Program is an in-person professional development program for educators.

What is cslc?

Our flagship program, the Canadian Student Leadership Conference, has been running annually since 1985. CSLC brings together over 1000 students and educators from over 300 schools across Canada each year.
